I'm not sure whether a new build of Windows 10 is the problem but trying to install the Windows 7 Intel 3600 GMA drivers no longer works on my Hp Mini 210 4000 series laptop. I get BSOD on start up after restarting - or just after driver installation has completed (and I've tried different driver versions, running in admin, running in compatibility mode, running in safe mode etc etc). Search engine results and a more recent Tweet reveal that Intel has given up on producing a Windows 10 GMA 3600 driver. Very disappointing. Really, really, really need Microsoft TO HELP US NOW.

Please help Microsoft! Also irritating is that my mother's older series HP Mini is happily running Windows 10 on the Microsoft WDDM drivers for its much older GMA adapter!!!!!! It amounts to rubbish customer service - a non-caring attitude suited quite perfectly for the current throw-away generation (i.e. Get a new Surface Pro with the latest tech and latest Intel Core I5's and Core I7's with the latest HD chipsets and be **** with everyone else). As Intel clearly said there would be no Windows 10 support for GMA 3600, all we can do now is just hope that Microsoft will develop a driver. Could someone from Microsoft at least respond as whether this is feasible or not, especially the one year free upgrade is ending in few months. By the way, I have read somewhere that if you don't install the GMA 3600 Intel driver and use the basic Microsoft graphics driver, windows 10 will work but I haven't tried it.

Hello Everyone, Well, there doesn't seem to be any help from either Microsoft or intel, and only few days left for the free upgrade period. I think it is a good idea for everyone with incompatible display driver to disable it, do the upgrade and then go back to your original operating system. This way your machine will have a valid Windows 10 key, and you can upgrade for free any time in the future in case a display driver is provided. I thought to share my experience of upgrading to windows 10 and back. I have a netbook Acer Aspire One D270 with Intel Atom N2600 CPU and windows 7 Ultimate. First I saved a complete backup and system image on an external drive just in case. Then, I disabled the GMA 3600 adapter in device manager and did an in-place upgrade by downloading and running the upgrade assistant from Microsoft. It took almost 4-5 hours for the whole process to complete and launch Windows 10 welcome screen.
